One might ask how is it possible to live with a vampire?  While its not the easiest thing to get used to it is possible and even sometimes enjoyable.  Over the past year Max and I have been visited by a vampire.  Her name is Maria. She is a six hundred year old, female vampire.  Vampires are not real you say.  Well let me assure you Maria is very real and she is 100% a vampire.  She is beautiful, cunning, wealthy, and very sexual.  What the big deal you say?  get some holy water and a super soaker and be done with her.  Yes it is true Holy Water does repel vampires and can actually hurt them very badly, but its not quite that simple.  You see she has supernatural powers that make her very powerful.  For example she can turn into fog, a wolf, or a bat. She has super human speed and can move faster than you can throw holy water.  Assuming you were lucky enough to get a bit of holy water on  her she would be on you in less than a second and be able to break any one of your limbs without much effort. Then you would have a really pissed off vampire and trust me you don't want that.   Usually during the day Maria normally takes her rest at any number of her secrete houses.  After collecting the wealth of  her victims for six hundred year she has more money than Bill Gates, Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos combined.  She will often leave us before sunrise and remain safe and sound in any one of her undisclosed safe houses.  It is during the day that she is most vulnerable. Unlike in the movies, sunlight does not destroy a vampire, it only deprives them of most of their supernatural powers.   If we really had any hope of hurting her it would be during daylight hours where she can not take the form of fog or wolf or bat. She also does not have her supernatural speed, only her incredible strength remains.  But in order for that to happen we would need to know where she lives and that is completely impossible as she has numerous fake identities and has dozens of houses all over the Chicago land area.  Even if we were to locate where she was sleeping we would need to be able to by pass her security measures that include high walls, barbed wire, guards and any number of alarm systems.   What about Garlic and holy relics etc?  Vampires do no like blessed holy objects.  The key is they must be blessed by a Catholic priest. If they are not blessed they are just pieces of metal or plastic and have no effect. So blessed crosses, salt, holy water etc are all weapons used against a vampire. However Maria is well aware of her limitations and while you may ward her off you can't kill her except by cutting off her head and then burning her body. So sure, throw some holy salt on her, she will go away.  But sooner or later she will find you without your holy items and then she will make you pay.  She will beat you within in an inch of your life and torture you until you beg for mercy.  To beat her you would need to be a professional vampire hunter, and neither Max or I have any such qualifications. Simply put you don't get to be a six hundred year old vampire by being stupid or careless. So we have learned to make the best of this bizarre situation.

Maria has come to believe that Max is her long lost love reincarnated.  After the death of Count Dracula her original father of darkness, Maria was married to a new count whom she later turned into a vampire.  However he became careless and one night after feeding on a young teen girl he discovered by a nosy, suspicious, parish priest who incapacitated him using a musket filled with blessed salt. He was shot at point blank range and the holy salt ripped through his body wounding him just enough for priest to cleave off his head with an ax. The priest then proceeded to burn his body.  Maria was enraged and found the priest, seduced him and then gruesomely drained him of his blood to the point of death but then drove a stake through his rectum and out of his mouth and  planted him in in front of the church doors as a warning to the town about what happens to those who anger the undead.

Maria is utterly in love with Max, and Max has been able to secure our lives by agreeing to comply

with Maria's demands. Maria has also taken a fancy to me. We have weekend orgies, where Maria will drink from us sending us into what can only be described as having sex on molly while plunging down a roller coaster while you shoot up heroin.  It is a feeling that is not of this world.  I will often require days of sleep to recover.  While I sleep and recover Maria spends her days with Max. 

While there is not much to do during covid Max shows' Maria all around Down town Chicago. They mostly go out at night when Maria is at full strength, but Maria can also go out by day and will meet Max for lunch down town.  

Maria has both the elegance of a royal princess and the rawness of a punk rocker. She is both lady and seductress.

On occasion Max and I will wake up in one of Maria's houses usually in a dungeon or some type of torture chamber. Here she will bring us to new heights of pleasure as she plays the role of vampire dominatrix.  Taking turns, while we are chained up, and restrained, drinking from us then using various toys to bring us to climax.  She is the mistress of pain and pleasure. After each encounter we mysteriously wind up back in our beds. Drained and needing days of rest to recover.  

Will we turn into vampires you ask?

  Apparently not. While each encounter with Maria bonds us closer to her will, we will not become a vampire unless we drink her blood.  She calls this the Gift that is given to very few.  For now we are her humble servants.  

Maria is incredibly strong and smart. On more than one occasion Max has found her in his office in the middle of the day.  Dressed in red leather and knee high boots she would not be confused with an average office worker. However Maria has the power to hypnotize people in order to get them to do her bidding. She has hypnotized guards, sectaries, janitors etc in order to gain access to some of the most secure locations in down town Chicago.  During the day she will often drive her Dodge Challenger Hellcat and park in any parking garage she pleases. When she is ready to go she will hypnotize a guard and get them to raise the gate so she can go on her way.  There is very little that can stop this mistress of the night. 

Fortunately she has no interest in raising a vampire army.  Maria explained to Max that vampires do not tolerate each other very well.  Usually there is only one major vampire in a city the size of Chicago. Vampires do not want to be discovered or have attention drawn to their nocturnal activities.   Sloppy vampires who leave their victims lying about draw too much attention. Careless vampires are often killed by their own kind in order to avoid detection.   Maria is the only vampire in Chicago.  

It is rare that Maria will will drain someone to the point of death.  That is usually reserved for criminals and  the corrupt politicians or business men. Often time these deaths are staged to look like suicides, Person jumps out of a high rise building, drug overdose, or bullet to the brain etc.  If a corner gets a little too smart and starts asking to many questions a visit from Maria will set him straight.   

So Max and I have settled into a life of lust and debauchery.  We have made a strange peace with our mistress of the night. To say we don't enjoy Maria's blood, orgies would be a lie. We do.  So until Maria gets tired of us or we figure out a way to defeat a 600 year old vampire, we will continue to share this strange, dark world of Passion, blood and lust.
